Learning outcomes
Lean is a proven business improvement and management strategy that has gained worldwide attention for its remarkable success in improving business process efficiency.
This course aims at developing Lean Practitioners with the skills to contribute to continuous business improvement and Lean projects to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, on-time delivery and much more.
You are required to complete the Lean Champion course before you can enroll into the Lean Practitioner course.
This course provides a pathway towards becoming a qualified Lean Expert.
This course consists of seven (7) modules:
- Lean Champion (pre-requisite):
- Introduction to Lean
- Identify Value & Waste
- Change Management
- Project Management (Project Charters)
- Lean Practitioner:
- Value Stream Mapping & Design
- 5S – Workplace Organisation
- Kaizen / Continuous Improvement
Optional Certified Skills Assessment will require the completion of a full Value Stream Map and Design, the demonstrated implementation of a 5S system, running a Kaizen event and setup of a Continuous Improvement Centre.

How it works
The course contains seven learning modules which each include learning options such as video, interactive, case studies and downloadable resources, templates and tools for application of knowledge.
We recommend you progress your learning through all these resources in this order.
The Learning & Statement of Knowledge requires you to complete the following activities for each module:
- study the course content using the video, interactive and case studies
- complete an examination of 20 questions and achieve 75% or higher
Once you have passed each module examination satisfactorily, you will receive a Statement of Knowledge as a recognition of your understanding for the course.
The Certification for Skills and Knowledge assessment option requires you to:
- pass the Learning & Statement of Knowledge assessment option
- implement a project relevant to each module
- demonstrate your skills for all project assessment criteria
This option provides you with upto 3 hours of coaching and assessment support from a certified course expert.
Once you have passed each module’s project assessment satisfactorily, you will receive a downloadable internationally recognised Certification for Skills and Knowledge as a recognition of your practical application for the course.
